To activate Hibernate mode, proceed as follows: |

| 1 Go to Start and click Turn Off Computer. |
| ||
Sony | 2 Hold down the <Shift> key and press Hibernate. |

To return to Normal mode, press the power button. The computer returns to its previous state. |

✍If you press the power button for longer than 4 seconds, the computer will turn off. When the computer is in Hibernate mode, you cannot insert a disc.
Hibernate mode requires more time than Standby mode. Hibernate mode uses less power than Standby mode.
Entering Hibernate mode with the <Fn> key
You can choose to use the shortcuts <Fn>+<Esc>, or <Fn>+<F12> to enter Hibernate mode instead of Standby mode.
