My floppy disk drive cannot write to a diskette

The diskette is write-protected. Disable the write-protect feature or use a diskette that is not write- protected.

Check that the diskette is properly inserted into the floppy disk drive.

Your diskette may be corrupt. Try to insert another diskette.

The optional PCGA-UFD5 (USB) floppy disk drive is not recognized as drive A

To set the UFD5 to A, proceed as follows :

1Turn the system power on.

2Connect the UFD5.

3Select Control Panel from the Start menu.

4Double-click System.

5Select the Hardware tab, then click Device Manager.

6Select Universal Serial Bus controllers, then Y-E Data USB Floppy.

7From the Action menu, click Uninstall.

8Keep clicking OK until the Confirmation of deletion of device message appears.

9Select Scan for hardware changes from the Action menu. The UFD5 is recognized as drive A.

About sound

My speakers are not producing sound

The built-in speakers may be turned off. Press <Fn>+<F3> to turn on the speakers.
