About SmartMedia

Hardware

A SmartMedia card (originally called a solid-state floppy disk card) is a memory card that uses flash memory

to store data and to make it portable among devices, such as digital cameras, personal digital assistants

(PDAs), and other handheld devices.

SmartMedia is similar in size to the CompactFlash card (although significantly thinner), with storage capacities ranging up to 128 MB.

This computer supports only SmartMedia with a capacity of 4 MB to 128 MB under a voltage power of 3.3 V.

The SmartMedia slot is not for any use other than the writing/reading of memory cards.
