Inserting a CompactFlash card | |||

Removing a CompactFlash card

To remove a CompactFlash card, proceed as follows:
1Make sure the card is not in use and the indicator is not lit.
2Press the release button once so it is extended and ready for use.
3Push the release button again to eject the card.
4Gently grasp the card and pull it out.
The CompactFlash window closes automatically.
✍If you remove the CompactFlash card from the computer when it is still in use, unsaved data may be lost. Always back up important data.
Troubleshooting memory cards
❑When you click Safely remove device (or a similar icon) in the task bar, the computer can no longer access CompactFlash and SmartMedia cards. Please restart your computer and try again. This also applies to Memory Sticks.
