Alarm Recording

OFF (in recording mode): the VCR does not record the alarm data on the tape.OFF (in playback mode): the VCR enters normal alarm search mode.

5 Press SEARCH to release the alarm data search mode.

To return to MAIN MENU from the current menu

Press MENU again.

To go to the next menu from the current menu Press MENU V until “NEXT PUSH B” flashes and press MENU B.

Notes

When ALARM DATA REC is set to ON, the VCR automatically rewinds the tape when inserted. While the VCR is rewinding the tape, “<AL DATA REC>” flashes on the monitor screen.

In ALARM DATA REC mode the VCR does not record the 101st or higher alarm data, but it does the alarm operation.

If the tape on which the alarm data is not recorded is inserted, a still picture will be displayed at the point where the recording started.

If the required alarm count cannot be found, the VCR will rewind the tape when the tape comes to the end and stop at the beginning of the tape.

The ALARM DATA will be reset when:

the tape is ejected while recording in ALARM DATA REC mode.

all the ALARM DATA are recorded.

ALARM DATA REC is reset to OFF from ON.

You can use the ALARM DATA list only when the tape is recorded in 8-hour alarm recording mode and the recorded section is longer than 20 seconds.

While recording of the ALARM DATA list is in progress, the REC indicator lights in the display window.

In ALARM DATA REC mode, be sure not to press REW after the cassette on which the ALARM DATA list is recorded has been inserted. If you do, the recorded ALARM DATA list may be erased and replaced with new one.
