Troubleshooting

If you run into any problem using this unit, use the following table or visit our web site at http://www.sony.net/ to troubleshoot the problem. If you use a cable modem, you may have to change its settings. Check with the operating instructions of the cable modem, or your cable company. If the problem persists, contact your Sony dealer.

Cannot download

• The LAN cable is not properly inserted into the

browser pages

USB-Ethernet adaptor.

 

cInsert it properly.

Cannot log on

• The USB-Ethernet adaptor is not properly

 

connected to (USB) jack of your USB network

 

adapter-compatible camcorder.

cConnect it properly.

Your USB network adaptor compatible camcorder is not switched to Network mode.

cSet the POWER switch to “Memory/ Network.”

The cable modem cannot recognize the network adaptor

cSwitch off the cable modem and then switch it back on.

cSet the cable modem to recognize the USB Ethernet adaptor.

(Contact your cable company for details on how to set the cable modem.)

Cannot send or receive

• The size of the attached image file is beyond the

e-mail

capacity of the mail server.

 

cReset the size of the attached image file to

 

make it smaller.

You cannot connect to the network after the USB- Ethernet adaptor is fitted, even when the computer is connected to the cable modem

The cable modem cannot recognize the computer cSwitch off the cable modem and then switch it

back on.

cSet the cable modem to recognize the computer.
