Troubleshooting external displays

I cannot use the Plug and Display function (VGN-A series)

Depending on the external display or the way it is connected, the Plug and Display function may not be available. Use the shortcut key with the Fn key to select the output destination.

I cannot display contents on two or more displays at the same time

You cannot display contents on multiple external displays at the same time.

Select one of the external displays.

The external display with the DVI-D connector does not display properly (VGN-A series)

1Click Start and then Control Panel. The Control Panel window appears.

2Click the Appearance and Themes icon.

3Click the Display icon.

The Display Properties window appears.

4Click the Settings tab.

5Click Advanced.

The properties window appears.

6Click Options.

7Confirm that the button for Alternate DVI operational mode is selected. If not, click to check the button.

8Click to check the button for Reduce DVI frequency on high-resolution displays. The warning message window appears.

9Click Yes.
