The DVDirect detects and selects video input signals automatically when you play back video from the connected video device. You can view the video playback in the display window with the selected input source displayed in the top left.

DV , DVD :

DV IN is detected.

Video , DVD :

VIDEO IN is detected.

S-Video ,DVD :

S VIDEO IN is detected.

If the correct input source is not selected (or if the video playback does not display), press

Mor m to select the correct input manually.

6Press the (Record) button to start recording.

Dubbing from the camera or video device starts. During recording, [Recording] appears in the display window as the video is played back.

Recording time

Note

If you stop playback on the camera or video device during recording (or the video signal

is interrupted), the DVDirect pauses recording and the (Record) button flashes slowly. To resume recording, restart playback on the video device. If no video signal is detected for 2 minutes, recording stops.
