To not finalize the disc:

Select [No] and press (Select) button. The disc will be ejected without finalization. This disc is not completed yet, and it cannot be played with other DVD players or DVD drives of computers.

8Select whether to create a slideshow.

Press M or m to select whether to create a slideshow, and press the (Select) button.

To complete the disc as a photo backup DVD, select [No]. To complete the disc as a slideshow DVD, select [Yes].

Notes

When a slideshow is created on a disc, you cannot record additional photos onto the same disc.

It takes a few minutes to complete finalizing for a photo backup DVD. The amount of time it takes to complete a slideshow DVD depends on the number and size of the photos. (For example, it may take 20 minutes or more to record 100 files (5-megapixel photos) onto a DVD.)

When you press the (Select) button, the disc is processed according to your selections in steps 7 and 8. When all of the processing is complete, the disc is ejected and the photo DVD is complete.

To record more photos

If you eject a disc after recording photos without finalizing, you can add photos on the same disc later. Insert the disc and the memory card with additional photos into the DVDirect, and then repeat from step 4.

To create a slideshow DVD with a single button touch

When [Slideshow Creation] is set to [ON] in the Setup menu (page 64), the disc is finalized and a slideshow is created on the disc automatically after recording the photos. The procedures from steps 6 to 8 are processed automatically, and the slideshow DVD is complete.
