While recording a movie

WIDE SELECT

When recording standard definition image quality (STD) movies, you can select the horizontal to vertical ratio according to the TV connected. Refer also to the instruction manuals supplied with your TV.

16:9 WIDE

Records movies to the full screen on a 16:9 (wide) TV screen.

4:3 ( )

Records movies to the full screen on a 4:3 TV screen.

Notes

Set [TV TYPE] correctly according to the TV connected for playback (p. 81).

SELF-TIMER

Press PHOTO to start the count down. A photo is recorded after about 10 seconds.

OFF

Cancels the self-timer.

ON ()

Starts the self-timer recording. To cancel the recording, touch [RESET].

Tips

You can also operate by pressing PHOTO on the Wireless Remote Commander (p. 115).

IMAGE SIZE

You can select a photo size to be shot.

7.1M ()

Records photos clearly (3,072 × 2,304).

5.3M ()

Records photos clearly in the 16:9 (wide) ratio (3,072 × 1,728).

1.9M ()

Allows you to record more photos in relatively clear quality (1,600 × 1,200).

VGA(0.3M) ()

Allows the maximum number of photos to be recorded (640 × 480).

Notes

The selected image size is effective when the (Photo) lamp is lit.
