7. HI -P ASS FILTER
Pressing this switch in serts a 12dB per octave 100Hz Hi-Pass
Filter in the signal path, immediately after the input amplifier.
This is pa rticularly u seful on live v ocals, and its u se is
strong ly reco mm end ed , even on male vocals. It can als o be
used for filte r ing ou t low fr equen cy hu m.
8. EQ UALI SER
The Equaliser(EQ) comprises three sections. The up per
control provides H.F.(treble) boost and cut of +/ -15dB. The
lower two pairs of knobs are arranged as a cut/boost control
(lower knob) of +/- 15dB, and a SWEEP(frequency) control
which determines at w hich frequency the boost/ cut action
will be centered. The LF sections are essentially Swep t Low
Frequ ency con trol s, cove ring a r ang e from 40 to 400Hz and
prov iding m uch grea ter flexibility t han a con vention al
LF(bass) control. The MID section, with a frequency range
from 250Hz to 8k Hz is par ticularly v ersatile for v ocals,
enabling particular characteristics of the singer to be lifted or
suppr essed very precisely.
