nA single number (Mobile+DC) – your Direct Connect number is the same as your wireless number (for example, 555-555-1234).

Dial Direct Connect Numbers

You can make a Direct Connect call using one of the ways below.

nIf the person you are calling has a separate number for Direct Connect, make sure you dial any asterisks (*) in the number. If you are saving the number in your Contacts, save it in the DC only field.

nIf the person you are calling has a single number for both voice calls and for Direct Connect, use that ten-digit phone number to make Direct Connect calls. You do not need to add any asterisks

(*) to the number. If you are saving this number in your Contacts, save it in the Mobile+DC field.

Note: One way to easily ensure that your contacts have your correct number is to call them so that they can save your number from their Call Log. Ask them for their contact information. Remember you will need all digits of the number to make a successful call.

Save Direct Connect Numbers

You can add new Direct Connect contacts to your contacts list.

Follow the instructions below to add a new Direct Connect contact:

1.Select Menu (left selection key) > Contacts > All Contacts > Add (if the contacts list is empty).

Select Menu (left selection key) > Contacts > Options (left selection key) > Add new contact.

2.Enter the name and phone number in their respective fields. Use the Mobile+DC field if the wireless phone number and the Direct Connect number are the same. Use the DC only field if the Direct Connect number is different from the wireless phone number. Make sure to include the asterisks (*) between the sections of a DC-only number.

The Direct Connect number may be the ten-digit wireless phone number of the contact.

The Direct Connect number may be a unique number made up of three sets of digits separated by asterisks (for example, 444*5555*111). When saving this type of number, always include the asterisks (*).

3.Select Save (menu key) to save the Direct Connect contact.
