CHAPTER 2 – Connections and Remote
Power On and Off
The TGM-100 is designed to remain switched on continu-
ously. However, if you are not planning to use it for an
extended period, you may want to switch it off.
To switch off, press the ; button on the front panel.
After a brief period, the unit will switch off and the
Power LED will go out.
To switch back on, press the ; button on the front
panel again. After a brief period, the unit will switch on,
the Power LED will glow blue and the User Interface
will display the menu screen.
If the TGM-100 Server is switched off, any connected
clients will be disconnected, but can still play DVDs and
audio CDs using their slot loading drives.

Power Off with the Remote Control

This function is performed in the TV UI.
Either:
Press the ;Standby button on your remote control.
Or:
Press the à Library button to display the Home
Screen.
Use the U and V buttons to select the Set Up option.
Use the O Select button to display the Set Up menu.
Use the U and V buttons again to select Shutdown/
Restart.
Press the O Select button.
The TV will display the following screen:
To Shut down:
Highlight Yes and press the OSelect button on the
remote control to switch the unit off.
Note To switch the unit on again, use the ; button on the
front panel or remote.
To Restart
From the Power list item, highlight Restart and press
the OSelect button on the remote control to switch the
unit off and then on again.

Emergency Shutdown

Holding down the ; button on the front panel for 5 sec-
onds will force the unit to shut down immediately. This must
only be performed if the unit becomes unresponsive and
cannot be shut down correctly. Data corruption may occur
as a result of improper shutdown.
Note: If you have any clients connected, should any one of
the units in the networked system be forcibly shut down, all
the units in the system should be restarted.
