LS 2106 Signal Descriptions

The following signal descriptions apply to the connection between the scanner and the cable, and are for reference only.

Table 3-1. Signal Descriptions

Pin	Signal Name	Function
2	VBATT	Input power.
3	GROUND	Power supply input ground pin and reference for both
		output signals. It must be capable of sinking all return
		current.
4	Terminal Clock	Bidirectional clock signal used to communicate between
		the host terminal and the scanner or keyboard.
6	Synapse Data	Data line for Synapse communication.
7	Synapse Clock	Clock line for Synapse communication.
8	Terminal Data	Bidirectional data signal used to communicate between the
		host terminal and the scanner or keyboard
9	Keyboard Data Clamp	Active-low output data signal used to communicate from
		the scanner to the keyboard.
10	Keyboard Clock	Active-low output clock signal used to communicate from
	Clamp	the scanner to the keyboard.
