8 Chapter 2: Hardware Setup
7 Replace the hard drive bay cover to finish the installation.
Note: If you want to set up a RAID set, it is recommended that all instal led hard disks are of the same size to make
the best use of hard disk capacity.
Start Up Your DiskStation 1 Connect the AC adapter to the power port of DiskStation. Connect one end of the AC power cord to the AC
power adapter, and the other to the power outlet.
2 Use the LAN cable to connect DiskStation to your switch/router/hub.
3 Pres s and hold the power button to turn on your DiskStation.
Your DiskStation is now online and detectable from a network computer.
