Basic settings

Certain adjustments do not need to be made every time you make a recording; you just need to make them once. Amongst them are:

Choice of play mode (see 'Special Recorder Functions').

Choice of DOLBY noise reduction system (B, C or NR OFF) by pressing the appropriate button.

When recording from the tuner, MPX filter on / off (see Special Recorder Functions).

Making the recording

Once you have completed all the preparations for recording, the tape deck should be in "record ready" mode - the LED above the button must be glowing.

For the recording process the and buttons are used both to start the recording and to interrupt it.

Start the recording at the appropriate moment

-Side A: press the button

-Side B: press the button

You can interrupt the recording at any time (e. g. to skip a CD track, or to suppress advertisements or verbal commentaries when recording from the tuner)

-Side A: press the button again

-Side B: press the button again

The Record indicator () in the screen area flashes when the machine is in Record Pause mode.

Remember to resume recording after any interruption

-Side A: press the button again

-Side B: press the button again

End the recording process:

Note:

In addition to adjusting the bias, balance and level settings before making the recording, you can also make adjustments while recording is taking place.
