Servicing is required when the appar atus has been
damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or
plug is damaged, liqu id has been spille d or objects
have fa llen into t he ap paratus , the appa ratus has
been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate
normally, or has been dropped.
Do not expose this apparatus to drips or splas hes.
Do not place any obj ects fi lled wit h liquid s, such as
vases, on the apparatus.
Do not install this apparatus i n a confined space such
as a book case or similar unit.
The ap paratus draws nomina l non -operat ing po wer
from th e A C o utl et wit h i ts STAN DBY/ ON in the
Standby position.
The apparatus should be lo cated close e nough to the
AC outlet so that you can easily grasp the power cord
plug at any time.

connected to an AC outlet with a prote ctive grounding
connection.
Batteries (batter y pack or b atteries installed ) should
not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine,
fire or the like.
Excessive sound pressure fro m earphones and head-
phones can cause hearing loss.
