CAUTION

If you set the key control to O6 while the fine tuning value is greater than 0, the fine tuning value is automatically reset to 0. Similarly, if you set the key control to I6 while the fine tuning value is less than 0, the fine tuning value is automatically reset to 0.

Also note that when key control or VSA is ON, you may find that the music played back has a “vibrato” feel. This is not a fault of the CD player – it is a natural result of the special effects.

Using CD effects

Turning CD effects on and off

Pressing the CD EFF switch at the side of the CD-BT1MKII turns on the pre- set CD effects: guitar cancel, mono monitor, split monitor. These three CD effect components can be used simulta- neously. The CD EFF symbol is shown on the display. Press the CD EFF switch again to turn off the CD effects.

BEE (Bass Enhancement Effect)

BEE reduces or enhances the bass com- ponent of the CD playback.

Press and hold the TMP/KEY / CD EFF key to enter the CD Effect menu. Press either the PREV or NEXT key to choose BEE. Press either the UP or DOWN key to select from the choices listed below:

OFF: normal playback (the sound is not affected in any way)

BST: the bass component of the sound will be boosted

ENH: the bass component of the sound will be boosted and the definition of the bass part of the music will be enhanced

CUT: bass component of the sound will be cut out

Mono monitor

Setting the monitor mode allows you to control the output signal between mono and stereo with alternate options for both.

Press and hold the TMP/KEY / CD EFF key to enter the CD Effect menu, and select MONO by pressing either the PREV or NEXT key. Press either the UP or DOWN key to select from the following:

L+R: outputs a mono signal, mix- ing the L (left) and R (right) chan- nels.

L: outputs the L channel signal only.

R: outputs the R channel signal only.

OFF: outputs normal stereo signal.

Split monitor

Setting the split monitor mode allows you to split the CD output and the bass guitar into left and right outputs.

Press and hold the TMP/KEY / CD EFF key to enter the CD Effect menu, and select SPLT by pressing either the PREV or NEXT key. Press the UP or DOWN key to select from the following:

C-B: outputs the sound of the CD from the left, and the sound of the bass guitar from the right.

B-C: outputs the sound of the bass guitar from the left, and the CD sound from the right.

OFF: outputs stereo mixed sound of CD and bass guitar from left and right.
