Listening to FM Stereo

When a stereo FM broadcast is received, you can listen to stereo sound by connecting

your stereo headphones to the jack.

Also you can listen to stereo sound from an external source that is connected to the AUX IN jack.

Listening to an External Source

1To prevent a sudden high-level noise, turn the VOLUME knob counter - clockwise to minimize the volume.

2 Connect the PHONES jack (audio output jack) of a portable audio player to the AUX IN jack of the R-1 using the supplied stereo mini plug cable.

3Turn the Function knob to select AUX.

4 Play the source, and adjust the volume using the VOLUME knob of the R-1 and the audio player.

When using the PHONES jack of your mini player, you must remember to adjust the volume of the mini-player or you may hear no sound from your R-1. Do not turn the volume of the mini-player up too high or the sound from the R - 1 ma be distorted.
