5. OPERATION

General operation

Switching the TV set o n and off

To switch the TV set on, press the button lo cated on the right side of the set.
When the set is on, the indicator on the front is green.
Standby mode
Press the butto n on the s creen right s ide of TV or o n the remote co ntrol.
The TV set remains powered up, but with low energy consumption.
When the TV set is in standby mode, the indicator on the front is red.
Quitting standby mode
- Press the or any numeric button on the remote control,
- press the PR+/PR-
buttons to switch on the televisi on at the las t channel or AV programm e you were watching,
- press the AV button to switch the television on at the last AV programme you were watching.

Volume

Volume con trol: use the VOL + / -
buttons o n the right s ide of the TV se t or press the same button s on the
remote contro l to increase o r decrease the volum e.
Sound mute: press the button to te mporarily mu te the sound. Pre ss this button again or the
VOL
+
button to
restore it.

Displaying st atus inform ation

In TV mode, press the yellow button (INFO) on the remote contro l to displa y the numbe r and name of the
channel you are watching, the type of sound, the zoom or format type, sound mute status and the sleep
timer stat us (if acti ve).
TV lock mess age is displayed if the fun ction is activated under the PR EFERENCES menu.
When you switch on the television or change channels, the number and name of the channel are displayed if you
entered its name under the ORGANISE R
menu.
In PC and PIC(see page 21) modes, press the yellow button (INFO) on the remo te contro l to display the
Resolution ,Vertical and Horizontal frequency.

Accessing channels

Using the numeric buttons:
- for channels 1 to 9, press the corresponding button.
- for cha nnels 10 to 99 , press the 0 button to dis play “--“, then e nter the two digits.
Using the PR+/PR-
buttons: scroll through the channels.
AV programm es are n ot inclu ded in the cy cle unles s you use th e buttons on the right side of the T V set.

Accessing AV programmes

Press the
AV
button to display the last selected audio-visual programmes and scan through the other audio-visual
programmes.
AV selections loop: AV1, AV1RGB, AV2, AV2-S, YCrCb, YPrPb, DVI, PC
