[A] Television with S-VIDEO terminal

The S-VIDEO output terminal achieves a more vivid picture than

the video output terminal by separating the colour and lumi-

nance signals before transmitting them to the television. (Actual

results depend on the television.)

[B] Laser Disc player (without 5.1ch output), etc.

This unit has Dolby Pro Logic circuitry. The sound will be repro-

duced with the same powerful stereophonic effects found in

movie theaters.

[C] Video cassette recorder

You can play the sound from a video cassette recorder through

this unit’s speakers or record sound from this unit onto a video

cassette.

By connecting a video cord as shown along with the audio con-

nections shown in [B] and [C], you are able to control the video

and audio with [INPUT SELECTOR].

Subwoofer

For the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, Australia and N.Z.

The included front speakers have subwoofers, but you can enhance the sound by connecting an optional subwoofer to SUBWOOFER OUT on the back of the sound processor.

[E]If you connect a subwoofer:

Press and hold [DIGITAL S.WOOFER] on the main unit until “SUB W ON” is displayed.

Sound will not come from the subwoofer if there is no specific channel for the low frequency effect on DVD.

For others

Connect the included subwoofer (á page 6 for connection). (You do not have to press [DIGITAL S.WOOFER] to turn the SUBWOOFER on.)
