[A]Turning DEMO off
A demonstration of the display is shown if you have not set the clock.
You can reduce the power consumed in standby mode by turning the demonstration off.
While the unit is on:

3 1 Press [TUNING (X or W)] to set the time.
The time display can be changed in one minute units by tapping the buttons, and quickly by holding down the buttons.

The time is set and the original display is restored.
Displaying the clock
Press [CLOCK/TIMER].
The clock is shown for about 5 seconds.
Reset the clock regularly to maintain accuracy.
