Alarms
Use the Configure Alarms submenu of the Configure menu to select which error conditions you will monitor and how you will be notified in the event of an error. The alarms are organized into the following groups to help you locate a desired alarm: General, Serial, Audio (Option DG only), Auxiliary, and Physical (WFM700M only).
The top level of the submenu display shows which notification methods are enabled. An “X” indicates that a notification method is selected and an “O” indicates that the notification method is not selected.

Possible Alarm Actions For each available alarm, you can select one or more notification methods:
NOTE. If you do not select a notification method for an error, you will not be notified if that error occurs.

HBeep. The instrument makes an audible alarm.
HSNMP. The instrument sends an SNMP trap out the Ethernet port for a remote notification that an alarm condition occurred. You must enable and configure the instrument for SNMP control using the Communications submenu of the Configure menu before SNMP traps can be sent.

HLogging. The instrument makes an entry in the Event Log. Refer to Logging on page
HGround Closure. The instrument sends a signal out the Remote port for a remote notification that an alarm condition occurred. You must enable the Remote Control Port in the Communications submenu of the Configure menu before notifications can be sent.
