Toupdate the ﬁrmware with this method, perform the follow-

ingsteps:

1. Download a new ﬁrmware applicable to

thedigital receiver from the Topﬁeld web

site.

2. Plug one end of a RS-232 cable (9 pin D-

sub cable) into the RS-232 port on the

digitalreceiver, and the other end into the

matchingport on your computer.

3. Turn on the digital receiver.

4. Run TFD-Down.

Theinstruction on how to use TFD-Down is as follows:

1. Press Find button to select the new

ﬁrmwareﬁle.

2. Press Download button to start the ﬁle

transfer.

3. PressStop button to cancel the ﬁle transfer.

4. Restart the digital receiver.

7.3 From another digital receiver via RS-232 port

Itis possible to transfer a new ﬁrmware to the digital receiver

fromanother same digital receiver connecting them with a RS-

232cable.
