Partnership with Landcare Australia.

Toshiba (Australia) Pty Limited partners with Landcare Australia to assist in managing and repairing the environment. Further information can be found at www.landcareaustralia.com.au/

Restriction of Hazardous Substances compliance.

Toshiba developed the world’s first Notebook to fully comply with the European Union’s Restriction of Hazardous Substances ruling. More importantly, all of Toshiba’s Notebooks became fully compliant well ahead of the mandated deadline. The RoHS ruling restricts the use of six hazardous substances. It will become the default standard for electrical equipment worldwide. Toshiba has also invested heavily in finding and using alternatives for another eight substances, comprehensively exceeding the standards set by the legislation.

Toshiba Ecycle program

Toshiba’s Ecycle IT makes it easy to recycle surplus Toshiba Notebooks. All Toshiba (ANZ) MobileCare and ProCare repair agents now have recycle bins. You can

bring in unwanted Toshiba IT equipment to be recycled at no charge. For your nearest MobileCare repair centre contact Toshiba (Australia) on 13 30 70 or visit www.isd.toshiba.com.au or contact your Toshiba finance partner for further information.

Reducing IT power consumption

Measures to improve eco-efficiency involve environmentally conscious product design, environmental assessment of products and disclosure of environmental performance of products. In our 4th Voluntary Environmental Plan for the period 2005 to 2010, Toshiba Group aims to improve product eco-efficiency in 2010 by 2.2 times compared with 2000.

Toshiba Donate-IT program

We can help you donate pre-loved Toshiba Notebooks to local community groups and charities. Simply drop off your surplus Notebooks at any MobileCare repair centre and we‘ll refurbish them and pass them on to a worthwhile cause. For further information, please contact 13 30 70 or visit www.isd.toshiba.com.au

Toshiba Group Earth Protection Mark

In 1999, Toshiba introduced the Toshiba Group Earth Protection Mark as a part of its efforts to strengthen disclosure of products’ environmental performances. Products in conformity with Toshiba’s voluntary environmental standards, which cover such criteria as energy saving, no use of toxic substances, green procurement, design facilitating recycling, and recycling of end-of-life products, bear this mark.
