Deleting a supervisor password
To cancel the power-on password function:
1Click Start, then click All Programs.
2Point to TOSHIBA Console, then click the resulting
TOSHIBA Console selection. You may also press the
TOSHIBA Console button to the left of the keyboard to
open the TOSHIBA Console.
The TOSHIBA Console window appears.
3On the left side, select Security.
4Select the Supervisor Password icon.
5Select Verify by Password.
6Select the Supervisor Password tab.
7Type the correct password.
8Click Veri fy.
9Click Delete.
10 Select Verify by Password.
11 Type the correct password.
12 Click Veri fy.
Setting a user password
To register a password for the power-on password functions:
1Click Start, then click All Programs.
2Point to TOSHIBA Console, then click the resulting
TOSHIBA Console selection.
The TOSHIBA Console window appears.
3On the left side, select Security.
4Select the User Password icon.
5Click Set.
