OPERATION

Set the handset's POWER ON/OFF switch to ON. For best reception, fully extend the base'santenna and posi- tion it vertically.

To make a call, lift the handset and press the handset's TALK/HANGUP button so that the TALK/HANGUPindi- cator lights.

To answer a call, simply lift the hand- set from the cradle so that the

TALK/HANGUP indicator lights

To end a call, place the handset on the cradle. Or, press the handset's TALK/HANGUP button so that the TALK/HANGUP indicator turns off.

Note: When you press a button ex- cept PRIVACY,a tone sounds to indi-

cate that the phone accepted the command.

USING PRIVACY

Use the privacy feature if you do not want the person on the other end of the phone line to hear you as you talk to someone in the same room as you. You can still hear the person on the other end of the phone line.

Press and hold down PRIVACY.This

turns off the handset'smicrophone. Release PRIVACY to resume your phone conversation.

Use FLASH to perform the switch- hook operation for special services, such as call waiting.*

For example, if you have call waiting, press FLASHto take an incoming call without disconnecting the current call.

Press FLASH again to return to the first call.*

Notes:

. The redial memory does not store the FLASH entry or the digits you press after the FLASH entry.

. If you do not have any special phone services, pressing FLASH might disconnect the current call.

*. If this does not work and you have telecom's easycall service con- nected, then follow your telecom instructions to operate "call wait- ing".
