General Information

UnpackingUnit

Yourrefrigeratorwas packed carefullyfor
shipment.Remove and discardall packaging
andtape. Do not remove the model/serial
numberlabel.
When moving YourRefrigerator:
Yourrefrigeratoris heavy. Whenmoving the
refrigeratorfor cleaningor service, be sureto
protectthe floor.Always pull the refrigerator
straightout when moving it.Do not wiggle or
“walk”the refrigeratorwhen trying to move it,
as floordamage could occur.

Location

• Donot install refrigeratornear oven, radiator
or otherheat sources. If notpossible, shield
refrigeratormaterial.
• Do notinstall where the temperaturefalls
below55°F (13°C) or rises above110°F
(43°C).Malfunctions canoccur at these
temperatures.
• Refrigeratoris designedfor indoor
householdapplicationonly.

Measuringthe Opening

Wheninstalling your refrigerator, measure
carefully. Allow 1/2”(1.3 cm) space at top
and 1/2”(1.3 cm) behind the machine
compartmentcover (locatedin the rear) for
properair circulation.Sub-flooring or floor
coverings(i.e. carpet, tile,wood floors,
rugs)may make your opening smallerthan
anticipated.Someclearancemay begained by
usingthelevelingprocedureunder“Leveling”.
Wheninstallingyourrefrigeratornextto a
fixedwall,leave 2 7/8”(7.3 cm) minimumon
thehinge sideto allow forthe door toswing
open.

Before YouThrow Away Your Old Refrigerator or Freezer:

• Takeoff the doors.
• Leave the shelves in place so that children may not easily climb inside.

IMPORTANT:

Child entrapment and suffocation arenot problems of the past. Junked or abandoned refrigerators are still
dangerous - even if they will sit for “just a few days.” If you aregetting rid of your old refrigerator, please
follow these instructions to help prevent accidents.
