5. RECALL switchIn Channel Select Mode, this switch recalls
the previously-selected program. You can use
this to quickly switch between programs in
different banks. For example, say you select
program 4-2, and then you select program 2-
1. To instantly return to program 4-2, simply
press the RECALL switch.
In Effect On/Off mode and Manual mode, the
RECALL switch does not function.
6. Effects section switches 1–4 & LEDsIn Channel Select Mode, these switches are
used to select programs. LEDs 1–4 indicate
the currently selected program. See “Channel
Select Mode” on page 7 for details.
In Effect On/Off mode, these switches are
used to turn the Pedal, Modulation, Delay,
and Reverb effects on and off individually.
LEDs 1–4 indicate whether an effects section
is on or off.
While your Valvetronix amp is in Manual
mode, these switches function as in the
Effect On/Off mode.
7. CHANNEL–FX ON/OFF switch & LEDThis switch is used to toggle between Chan-
nel Select Mode and Effect On/Off mode.
In Channel Select Mode, the BANK display
shows the current bank number.
In Effect On/Off mode, the FX ON/OFF LED
is on and the BANK display appears as
shown below.
8. Expression pedal, Pedal switchThe expression pedal controls the effect
that is assigned by the connected device. For
details on the effects that can be controlled,
refer to the manual of the connected device.
The pedal switch turns the effect that is
assigned by the connected device on/off.
The LED located at the upper left of the pedal
will light if an effect can be controlled.
If this is connected to a Valvetronix
amp, the operation will be different than
described above; the expression pedal and
pedal switch will operate as follows.
Expression pedal
• When VOX WAH (pedal effect) is se-
lected: controls the WAH effect
• When U-VIBE (pedal effect) is selected:
controls the U-VIBE speed
• When the Valvetronix amp’s [EX CTL]
switch is ON: controls the speed of the
modulation-type effect (CHORUS,
FLANGER, PHASER, TREMOLO, RO-
TARY )
Pedal switch
• Switches the pedal effect on/off
When on, the LED at the upper left of the
pedal will light.
9. Volume pedalThis pedal is used to control the volume.
There are three Volume pedal response
curves for you to choose from. See “Selecting
a Volume Pedal Curve” on page 13 for de-
tails.
If you’re using a Valvetronix amp, the Volume
pedal controls the level of the signal after
your amp’s gain stage so that only the vol-
ume is changed, not the amount of gain.
