Intercom

Use the intercom features for conversations between two handsets.
Press INT on your handset when not in us e. When you have three or more
handsets, use the dialing keys to enter a dest ination handset number.
To answer the intercom call, press , , INT or any dialing key on the
destination handset.
To end the intercom call, press OFF or place the han dset back in the telephone
base or charger.

Answer an incoming call during an intercom call

If you receive an outside call during an intercom call, there is an alert tone.
To answer the outside call, press . The intercom call ends automatic ally.
To end the intercom call without answering the ou tside call, press OFF. The
intercom call ends and the telep hone continues to ring.

Call transfer using intercom

Use the intercom feature to transfer an outside call to another system handset.
During a call, press INT. When you have three or more hand sets, use the
dialing keys to enter a destination handset nu mber.
To answer the intercom call, press , , INT or any dialing key on the
destination handset. The outs ide call is now on hold and both handsets disp lay
Intercom. You can have a private conversation with th e destination handset.
From this intercom call, you have the following o ptions:
You can let the destination handset join you on the ou tside call in a
three-way conversation. Press and hol d INT on the originating handset.
You can transfer the call. Press OFF, or place your handset back in the
telephone base or charger. Your handset screen displ ays Transferred. The
destination handset then automati cally connects to the outside call.
You can press INT to switch between the outs ide call (Outside call displays)
and the intercom call (Interc om displays).
The destination handset can end t he intercom call by pressing OFF, or by
placing the handset back in the tel ephone base or charger. The outside call
continues with the originatin g handset.
Directory
The directory can store up to 50 entries which are shared by all system handsets.
To add a directory entry:
Enter the number (up to 30 digits) when the handset is n ot in use then press
SELECT. Then go to Step 3.

When the handset is not in use, press MENU then scroll to Directory, and then
press MENU twice.

Copy a number from the redial list by pressing REDIAL and then press , or
REDIAL repeatedly to select a number. Press SELECT to copy the number.
Press SELECT to move on to enter the name.
Use the dialing keys to enter the name (up to 15 characters). Additional key
presses show other characters of th at particular key.
Press SELECT to store the entry.
While entering names and numbers, you can:
Press DELETE to backspace and er ase a digit or character.
Press and hold DELETE to erase th e entire entry.
Press or to move the cursor t o the left or right.
Press and hold PAUSE to insert a dialing paus e (for entering numbers only).
Press 0 to add a space (for entering names only).
To review and dial a number from the directory:
Entries are sorted alphabetically.
Press when the hand set is not in use.
Scroll to browse through the direc tory, or use the dialing keys to start a
name search.
When the desired entry appe ars, press or to dial.
To edit a directory entry:
When the desired entry disp lays, press SELECT.
Use the dialing keys to edit the number, then press S ELECT.
Use the dialing keys to edit the name, then pres s SELECT to conrm.
To delete a directory entry:
When the desired entry disp lays, press DELETE.
When the screen displays Del ete contact?, press SELECT.
