shown in t he handset
display window. Why
don’t I get a dial tone
when I tr y to use this
telephone?
The handset may be out of range. Move it closer to the tel ephone base.
Make sure the power cord is securely plugged into the telephone base. Use a working electrical
outlet that is not controlled by a wall switch.
Reset your telephone by unplugging the power adapter from the teleph one base. Disconnect
the battery from the cordless handset. Wait for 15 seconds, then plug in the power adapter and
re-install the battery. Place th e handset in the telephone ba se and allow up to one minute fo r
the handset and telephone base to synchro nize.
Other electronic products m ay prevent your handset and telephone ba se from communicating
with each other. Try installing your telephone base as far away from these electronic devices as
possible: wireless routers, radios, radio towers, pager towers, cellular telephones, intercoms, room
monitors, televisions, personal com puters, kitchen appliances an d other cordless telephones.
