Generic PPDs

When you print from the Macintosh to a DC 265/255/240 or DC 490/460, we recommend that you use the Xerox DC 265/255/240 or DC 490/460 drivers in combination with the custom PPDs.

If you use the LaserWriter or Adobe PostScript with the corresponding generic PPD’s listed in the below table, you cannot access certain extended features such as sample set, secure print, cover pages, banner page, transparencies etc. The table below suggests which drivers and PPDs work best together.
