Setup Procedures

The following explains how to add the drive to the computer as illustrated. When replacing, the procedure is basically the same.

Note

The way of installing built-in devices may differ, depending on the computer.

Be sure to follow the procedures in the documentation that came with your computer.

7Slide the drive backwards into the slot, then tighten the four fastening screws on the sides of the unit by hand to hold the drive in place.

Notes

•Do not apply excessive force when sliding the drive backwards into the drive bay slot.

•Leave enough room behind the drive to connect the power, IDE, and audio cables.
