Setup Procedures

7Connect the series A plug of the included USB cable to the USB port of the interface card.

Notes

•Be sure to connect the drive to the USB port of the interface card. If you connect the drive to the computer via a hub, the drive may not operate properly.

•When the CRW2200UX drive is connected to a USB 1.1-compliant port on your computer, it operates in accordance with USB 1.1 standard.

STEP 2 Install the Device Drivers

As soon as the CRW2200UX drive is connected to the computer, installing of the device drivers starts automatically.

Device drivers are only installed the first time the drive is connected to the computer.

For Windows 98 Second Edition

Install the included device drivers.

For details, refer to the separate manual, “Device Driver Installation Guide”, that came with the CRW2200UX drive.

For Windows Me/2000 Professional

Windows Me/2000 Professional standard device drivers are installed automatically.

Note

The device drivers are installed for each USB port. After connecting the drive to a port, if you connect the drive to another port, the screen re-displays messages for installing the drivers again.
