ConnectionsWhen connecting various devices, be sure to use cables and plugs of the appropriate standard.
Connecting speakers
There are three ways in which speakers can be connected to the EMX2000.
1Connecting a single speaker to each of
the L and R jacks:
A single speaker each can be connected to either
jack 1 or jack 2 of SPEAKERS L and of SPEAK-
ERS R.
2Connecting two speakers to each of the L
and R jacks:
Two speakers can be connected in parallel to both
jack 1 and jack 2 of SPEAKERS L and
SPEAKERS R.
3BRIDGE connection:
A single speaker can be connected to the BRIDGE
jack.
For each of these, the required speaker imped-
ance will differ. Refer to the following diagram,
and make sure that the speaker impedance is not
less than the specified value.
Connecting input/output equipment
• An additional or alternative PA system can be connected to the ST 1/2, MONO, and MONI 1/2 jacks on the front panel.
