A continuous flow of water from the pi- lot hole shows that the water pump is pumping water through the cooling passages. If water is not flowing out of the pilot hole at all times while the en- gine is running, overheating and seri- ous damage could occur. Stop the engine and check whether the cooling water inlet on the lower case or the cooling water pilot hole is blocked. Consult your Yamaha dealer if the prob- lem cannot be located and corrected.
