MAINTENANCE

Battery	1
WARNING
Battery electrolyte is poisonous and	2
dangerous, causing severe burns,
etc. It contains sulfuric acid. Avoid
contact with skin, eyes, or clothing.
Antidote:	3
EXTERNAL: Flush with water.
INTERNAL: Drink large quantities of
water or milk. Follow with milk of	4
magnesia, beaten egg, or vegetable
oil. Call physician immediately.
EYES: Flush with water for 15
minutes and get prompt medical	5
attention.
Batteries produce explosive gases.
Keep sparks, flame, cigarettes, etc.,	6
away.
Ventilate when charging or using in
enclosed space. Always shield eyes
when working near batteries.	7
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHIL-
DREN.
The 12-volt battery that provides start-	8
ing power to your gas car normally
doesn’t require the addition of water
during the one year warranty period	9
provided by the battery manufacturer.

If the battery loses its charge, have an experienced mechanic charge it.
