Press TIME INDEX or once or more to skip forward or backward by the displayed time.

By pressing a button repeatedly, the time on the display and TV monitor changes.

Notes

While playing a disc, you can skip forward or backward through the entire disc.

While playing a Video CD (version 2.0) in the Playback Control mode, you can skip forward or backward through the selected track.

To get a quick overview of a track or a disc for Video CDs

To get a quick overview of a track

Select a desired track using the numeric button and press DIGEST to see the scenes of that track.

*Track number 1 through 15 can be selected.

*You can start playing the track from the desired scene by pressing the corresponding scene number. The monitor can show up to nine scenes at a time.

To get a quick overview of a disc

Press INTRO to see the beginning of all tracks on a disc.

*When you find the track you want to watch, select it by pressing the corresponding number of the track. The monitor can show up to nine tracks at a time. If the disc has more than nine tracks, scenes of the track numbers 10 and above will also be shown in order. (The screen clears up after showing all nine tracks, and then starts showing the next nine tracks.) This function continues until the showing of the beginning of all tracks on the disc is finished.

Notes

• These buttons cannot be used when playing a Video CD (version 2.0) in the Playback Control mode. To make these buttons work, press to stop play.

These DIGEST and INTRO operations repeat endlessly until you stop play.

These buttons cannot be used in the program play and random play modes.

The number of scenes varies from disc to disc. There may be a case that

the monitor shows only one scene.
