Speaker balance adjustment

This procedure lets you adjust the sound output level balance between the front, center, and rear speakers using the built-in test tone generator. With this adjustment, the sound output level heard at the listening position will be the same from each speaker. This is important for the best performance of the digital sound field processor.

1 Turn off the power and set the VOLUME control to the “ ” position.

2 Select the front speakers to be used.

÷If you use two front speaker systems, press both the A and B switches.

3 Set the BASS and TREBLE controls to the DEFEAT position.

4 Set the BALANCE control to the 0 position.

5 Turn on the power.

6 Select the ŸPRO LOGIC or ENHANCED mode.

÷The PROGRAM button on the front panel can also be used instead of the ŸPRO LOGIC or ENHANCED button on the remote control transmitter. Turn on the EFFECT button and then press the £ or side of the PROGRAM button so that the ŸPRO LOGIC or ENHANCED indicator lights on the display.

7 Select the center mode according to your speaker configuration by pressing the CENTER MODE button on the remote control transmitter.
