In normal use, pressing the Feed Key once when the printer is idle (not printing) will cause the printer to feed a blank label. Holding the Feed Key while turning the power on and for 2 seconds afterward causes a test pattern to print. See Figure 4. This test pattern allows your to quickly confirm that the printer is working without connecting it to a computer.
