Now let's add a bass track to the drum tracks recorded as described in the previous section. Because pitch and duration must be specified for the bass track, the procedure is slightly different from step recording of the drum track.

Use the [VALUE +/-] keys to set the quantize value (smallest unit for recording). STEP4 Then press the [FUNCTION] key again.

STEP5 Press the [REC] key.

 

The [REC] key LED and [PLAY] key LED light up, indicating that the

RT-123 is ready for recording.

 

If step 4 is carried out without pressing the [FUNCTION] key, the NOTE quantize value of the pattern already recorded in that track will also be changed. For example, if step recording of a bass track was carried out with sixteenth notes and the quantize value was then changed to quarter notes, the pattern already recorded will also be changed to quarter notes if the [REC] key is pushed

without pressing the [FUNCTION] key.

Press the desired pad and/or the [REPEAT/STEP] key to enter the desired note or STEP6 rest with the desired duration.

For step recording of the bass track, you perform one of three

actions:
