MODULAR PARALLEL ADAPTERS AND MODULAR MEDIA UNITS

3. Installation

Follow these steps to install your Adapter. Detailed instructions appear in Sections 3.1 through 3.4.

1.Attach the media unit.

2.Connect the network cable.

3.Plug the Ethernet adapter into the computer.

4.Install the Self-Powering Cable or an AC power adapter.

IMPORTANT!

Make sure the computer is turned off while performing the install procedure.

3.1 Attach the Media Unit

To attach the Media Unit to the Adapter, hold the Adapter with the logo facing up, press the top and bottom of the unit together, and insert it until it snaps into the Adapter (see Fig. 3-1).

NOTE

If you have purchased a media unit additional to that supplied with the Adapter, remove the supplied unit by pressing the top and bottom together and pulling it out of the Adapter. Then, insert the new media unit as described above.
