Surround Speaker

When using the speakers as sur- round speakers, you will want to locate the speakers on opposite sides of the room, located parallel with or behind the listening area.

Once each of the speakers is installed, the speaker can be fine-tuned by rotating the tweeter island and switching between direct and diffuse modes. (VSi H470T2 only)

We have provided placement options for six of the most common installation scenarios. The diagrams note location, tweeter island location, and which mode (direct or diffuse) is used.

Direct/Diffuse Operation

When using the VSi H470T2 as a surround speaker, it can be config- ured in either direct or diffuse mode. In direct mode, the speaker has an even dispersion pattern in all directions. In diffuse mode, a null is created under the speaker along the axis depicted in the diagram below.

Enceinte Surround

Fonctionnement Direct / Diffusion

Lorsque vous utilisez la VSi H470T2 en tant qu’enceinte Surround, vous pouvez la configurer en mode direct ou diffusion. Direkter/diffuser Betrieb

Verwendet man den VSi H470T2 als Surround-Lautsprecher, kann er entweder im direkten oder diffusen Modus betrieben werden. Im Direkt- modus strahlt der Lautsprecher gleichmäßig in alle Richtungen ab. Im diffusen Modus entsteht eine Null-Achse unter dem Lautsprecher, so wie sie in der Abbildung hier unten eingetragen ist.
