example, you can define a startup sequence that checks for a CD or DVD in the CD or DVD drive, then checks the hard disk drive, and then checks for a USB key drive (flash drive).

If you have not changed the default startup sequence, the server starts the devices in the following order: the CD or DVD drive; then, the USB diskette drive, USB memory key, USB CD drive, or USB hard disk drive, if you have installed any in the server; then, the hard disk drives that are connected to the system board; then, the drives that are connected to the SAS/SATA controller; then, the integrated Ethernet controllers 1 and 2.

This choice is on the full Configuration/Setup Utility menu only.

vAdvanced Setup

Select this choice to change settings for advanced hardware features.

Important: The server might malfunction if these choices are incorrectly configured. Follow the instructions on the screen carefully.

CPU Options

Select this choice to enable or disable core multiprocessing, the execute-disable bit capability, and other microprocessor functions.

PCI Bus Control

Select this choice to view the system resources that are used by installed PCI devices.

RSA II Settings

This choice is displayed only when a Remote Supervisor Adapter II SlimLine is installed in the server.

Select this choice to view the IP address, DHCP settings, and gateway settings for the Remote Supervisor Adaptor II SlimLine, and to view or change the DHCP control, static IP address, subnet mask, gateway static IP address, and operating-system USB selections for the Remote Supervisor Adapter II SlimLine.

Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) Settings

Select this choice to change Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) settings for the mini-BMC controller.

-IPMI Specification Version

This is a nonselectable menu item that displays the IPMI version.

-BMC Firmware Version

This is a nonselectable menu item that displays the BMC firmware version.

-BMC Build Date

This is a nonselectable menu item that displays the date that the BMC code was created.

-BMC Build Level

This is a nonselectable menu item that displays the version of the BMC code.

-Existing Event Log number

This is a nonselectable menu item that displays the number of entries in the BMC system-event log.

-BMC POST Watchdog

Enable or disable the mini-BMC POST watchdog. Disable is the default setting.

-System-BMC Serial Port Sharing

Select this choice to specify whether the serial port that the BMC uses is shared with the rest of the system or is dedicated to the BMC. This choice,
