3.3Calculation of Rate and Total

3.3.1Frequency Input

The flowrate, R, is calculated as follows:

R = fxH

where f is the input frequency in Hz.

His the timebase of rate and is 1 for seconds, 60 for minutes,3600 for hours, and 86,400 for days.

Sis the Scaling Factor.

The Scaling Factor, S, is equal to the K-factor of the flowmeter expressed in pulses per unit volume.

The user sets the Scaling Factor and selects the timebase during the configuration process as detailed in Section 5 of this manual.
