2.1 During Installation

ALWAYS￿

install and use the drive in a horizontal position

PROTECT THE DRIVE FROM:

high temperature, high humidity, extreme temperature changes

dusty area

excessive vibration

￿direct sunlight inclined places

2.2 During Operation

ALWAYS

keep the tray closed to prevent dust and dirt contamination when not using the drive.

turn off your PC power before pressing a thin bar

￿to manually eject the disc tray (see Chapter 4) use a voltage regulator or Uninterrupted Power System (UPS) in areas where the power supply voltage varies a lot

NEVER

move the drive while it is operating

operate the drive right after a sudden increase

￿in temperature
