2.You might have to remove an adapter to gain access to the DIMM slots. See “Installing adapters” on page 14.

3.To locate the DIMM connectors. See “Identifying parts on the system board” on page 11.

4.Open the retaining clips.

5.Make sure the notches in the DIMM align with the tabs on the connector. Push or insert the DIMM straight down into the connector until the retaining clips close.

vReplace any adapters that were removed.

vTo work with another option, go to the appropriate section.

vTo complete the installation, go to “Replacing the cover and connecting the cables” on page 21.
