Note: Formatting is completed in approximately 45 minutes. The MyCD program configures the disc to receive data, verifies the integrity of the disc surface, and writes MyCD file system structures to the disc. You can do other tasks on your computer while the disc is being formatted.

3.Right-click on the CD-RWicon.

4.Click Format.

5.Type the title of your disc in the Volume Label window. The disc name can be up to 11 characters.

6.If you plan to use data compression with this disc, select the Enable compression on this disc check box.

7.Click Start to start disc formatting, and click OK when formatting is completed.

8.Click OK when the format finished box appears.

You can now write information to the disc.

If you want to read a DLA-formatted disc in another computer that has a multi-read drive, you might have to install a UDF reader program on the other computer.

Creating data CDs or backing up data files

To create data CDs use the following procedure:

1.Click Start -->Programs -->MyCD.

2.Select the task you want to perform, and follow the prompts.
