Connecting the Token Ring Module to a Hub

Refer to the Hub manufacturer’s manual for specific cabling information for connecting workstations to the Hub.

To connect the Token Ring module to a UTP Hub, attach one end of a UTP cable to the Token Ring module’s RJ45 connector and connect the other end with the appropriate connector to any port except the Ring In or Ring Out ports on a UTP Hub. The Ring In/Ring Out ports are used for interconnecting Hubs. Refer to the example shown in Figure 2-1.
