Chapter 2: Connecting to the Network

To connect to an STP MAU, attach the DB9 end of a Token Ring adapter cable to the Token Ring module’s DB9 connector. Attach the Media Interface Connector (MIC), on the other end of the cable, to any port except the Ring-In or Ring-Out ports on a STP MAU. The Ring-In/ Ring-Out ports are used for interconnecting MAUs. Refer to the example shown in Figure 2-2.
